Choosing the right earrings
Push, screw, or lever backs
The back decides how an earring lives day to day. Push backs slide on and off in seconds, which suits pairs you rotate often. Screw backs thread onto the post and stay put through sleep, sport, and small children — the sensible choice for studs that rarely come off. Lever backs close with a hinged loop that keeps drops facing forward. If you plan to wear one pair constantly, favor a screw or lever closure over friction alone.
Studs or drops — let your week decide
Studs sit tight to the ear, survive phone calls and scarves, and all but disappear into a routine, which is why they own the daily-wear slot. Drops move with you and read from across a room, earning the dinner-and-occasion slot. Weight matters more than first-time buyers expect: a balanced pair should be forgotten minutes after it goes on, so check the dimensions and carat weight listed on the product page before you choose.
Care and keeping
Earrings meet more spray, lotion, and shampoo than any other jewelry you own. Put them on last, after perfume and hair products, and take them off before showers and workouts. A weekly wipe with a soft dry cloth keeps posts and stones bright, and each pair deserves its own pouch so posts never scratch neighboring pieces. Earring questions, answered
I have sensitive ears — which metals are safe for me?
Every Signora earring is solid metal, never plated and never filled, so there is no base metal beneath the surface. Our white gold is palladium-based, nickel-free, and rhodium-finished, and we also craft in platinum Pt950 and solid 9K, 14K, and 18K gold.
Can I order a single earring instead of a pair?
Earrings are made to order as pairs. If you have lost one half of a Signora pair, write to care@signorajewels.com with your order details and we will see what can be done to match it.
How should I clean diamond or gemstone earrings?
A soft dry cloth after wear handles most of it. For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush around the settings, then dry thoroughly. Keep them away from hairspray, chlorine, and household cleaners — the care guide breaks it down by stone and metal.
When will my earrings arrive?
Each pair is crafted after you order, so plan on roughly 14 days from order to doorstep. Orders over $500 ship free by insured express courier, and duties and taxes are prepaid for the US, UK, and Canada.
Can I return earrings if they are not right?
Standard designs can be returned or exchanged within 30 days, with return shipping covered by Signora for the US, UK, and Canada. Bespoke pieces made to your specification cannot be returned.

Solid materials
Every Signora piece is made in solid precious metal — never plated or filled. Available options can include 925 sterling silver, 9K, 14K or 18K yellow, white or rose gold, and Pt950 platinum. Stone and certification details are listed on each product page.
Hand finishing
Each order is finished by hand in our family workshop in Surat. White gold is palladium-based, nickel-free and rhodium-finished; yellow and rose gold are polished to their natural warmth; platinum develops a soft patina with wear.
Everyday care
Wipe your piece after wear and store it separately in its pouch or box. Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, exercise or contact with lotions and cleaning products. For deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water, mild soap and a very soft brush; ask a jeweler to check stone settings periodically.
