At a glance

A cushion lab grown diamond bezel engagement ring from Signora Jewels.

The photographed design uses an approx. 2.00 ct Cushion Old Mine center measuring 9.2 × 6.8 mm, enclosed by a full bezel with open split-shank shoulders. Approx. 2.00 ct total.

Made to order in 11 metals: silver, 9K/14K/18K gold (yellow, white, rose) and platinum.

Each metal color is shown in the photos. Choose your center weight and metal from the options on this page.

Signora Jewels sets the 9.2 × 6.8 mm Cushion Old Mine center inside a complete rim of metal rather than surrounding it with prongs. At the photographed 2.00 ct weight, that bezel follows the softly squared outline closely and leaves the face of the diamond fully visible.

The shoulders divide as they approach the setting, creating an open split on both sides before meeting the raised bezel. The lower shank measures about 2.40 mm wide and 1.90 mm thick, while the setting reaches approximately 6.50 mm high.

Design highlights

  • Cushion Old Mine center measuring approx. 9.2 × 6.8 mm at 2.00 ct
  • Customizable center from 1 ct through 4.5 ct
  • Full bezel enclosing the entire perimeter of the center diamond
  • Open split-shank shoulders creating negative space beside the bezel
  • Approx. 4.20 mm shoulder width with a 2.40 mm lower shank
  • Approx. 6.50 mm setting height at the reference center weight

The full bezel is what changes the character of this ring. It draws a clean metal outline around the cushion and covers the girdle all the way around, while the open shoulders keep the setting from becoming visually heavy. About Lab Grown Diamonds

The Cushion Old Mine outline has softened corners and broader facet areas than a standard modern cushion. At the 2.00 ct reference weight, this center measures approximately 9.2 × 6.8 mm. The bezel traces that cushion outline closely, leaving the crown open while surrounding the girdle with metal.

Metal, Care & Fit

The photographed construction uses approximately 5.95 g of 18K gold before the center is set. Yellow and rose gold create more contrast around the bezel edge, while white gold and platinum keep the border closer in tone to the diamond. Clean around the underside of the raised bezel with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the open spaces between the split shoulders.

FAQ

How does the full bezel protect this Cushion Old Mine center?
The bezel surrounds the entire girdle of the cushion with metal. That removes exposed corner prongs and gives the softly squared 9.2 × 6.8 mm reference center a continuous protective edge.

Does the bezel make the 2 ct diamond look smaller?
The 2.00 ct reference center remains fully visible from above inside its 9.2 × 6.8 mm opening. The polished bezel creates a defined border around the cushion rather than placing separate prongs over its corners.

What does the split shank do on this ring?
The shoulders separate into two rails as they approach the center. That open space visually widens the approximately 4.20 mm shoulder area without turning it into one solid block of metal.

How high does the reference setting sit?
The photographed 2.00 ct construction is approximately 6.50 mm high. The raised bezel provides clearance beneath the center while the split shoulders connect directly into the setting.

Which metal works especially well with this bezel design?
Yellow and rose gold create a distinct frame around the cushion, while white gold and platinum make the bezel visually recede toward the diamond. The full rim remains clearly defined in every metal choice.

Answers last updated August 2, 2026

When will my order ship?

Standard listed pieces are made to order with an estimated dispatch of 7 business days. Use the product-page estimate when it is more specific and the timing confirmed after ordering. Delivery timing begins after dispatch and varies by destination and carrier service. Fully custom commissions follow the production schedule confirmed with their approved specifications or CAD.

When is insured worldwide delivery free?

Orders of US$500 or more receive free express, insured and tracked worldwide delivery. Below US$500, express, insured and tracked worldwide delivery is charged at the fixed rate shown at checkout.

Will I have to pay import duties?

For every destination available at checkout, Signora prepays applicable import duties and import taxes. Customers should not be asked to pay those import charges again on delivery.

What certificate comes with my jewelry?

Every finished piece includes a Signora Jewelry Certificate. Each selected individual lab-grown center or primary diamond of 0.50 ct or above includes an IGI grading report. Below 0.50 ct, IGI can be arranged by custom request. Custom moissanite and gemstone selections include GRA documentation, with the exact scope confirmed in the approved specifications. The product page or approved specifications state the exact laboratory, report type and scope.

Can I return a made-to-order listed design?

Standard listed products are eligible for return within 30 days after carrier-recorded delivery when unworn, unused and in their original condition, with the original packaging and included documents. Normal listed choices such as metal, stone carat, chain or bracelet length, an extended ring size, or complimentary engraving do not by themselves make an item Final Sale. A sale or discount also does not imply Final Sale; only an item explicitly classified as Final Sale follows the non-returnable exclusion.

How are fully custom orders handled?

A fully custom commission is different from a listed made-to-order design. After its specifications or CAD are approved, a normal change-of-mind return does not apply. Manufacturing defects remain reviewable. Signora may accept an exceptional non-defect return case by case; documented labor and genuinely non-recoverable costs may be deducted, but these deductions are not a restocking fee.
