The cushion Old Mine cut is presented without a visible halo from above, allowing its soft outline and broad antique-style facets to remain the focal point. At Signora Jewels, a hidden halo of round brilliant diamonds sits beneath the center inside the open basket, creating flashes of light that appear only as the ring moves.
The compass four-prong setting secures the diamond from the north, south, east and west points, while the approximately 1.90 mm comfort-fit shank keeps the design balanced beneath the elevated basket. With an approximate setting height of 6.80 mm, the open gallery allows light beneath the center and makes routine cleaning straightforward.

The Old Mine cut cushion features broad antique-style facets that produce larger flashes of light than a modern brilliant cut. Every center diamond is F color, VS1 clarity and , selected to complement the proportions of this hidden halo design.

What is a hidden halo?
A hidden halo places accent diamonds beneath the center stone instead of around its outer edge. This creates sparkle from the side while keeping the top view clean and uncluttered.
Why does this ring use a compass setting?
The four prongs are positioned at the north, south, east and west points of the cushion. This gives the diamond a balanced appearance while keeping the corners open and visible.
Does the hidden halo affect stacking with a wedding band?
No. The hidden halo sits beneath the center stone, allowing many straight wedding bands to pair closely with the ring while keeping the accent diamonds protected.

When will my order ship?
Standard listed pieces are made to order with an estimated dispatch of 7 business days. Use the product-page estimate when it is more specific and the timing confirmed after ordering. Delivery timing begins after dispatch and varies by destination and carrier service. Fully custom commissions follow the production schedule confirmed with their approved specifications or CAD.
When is express shipping free?
The configured free-shipping reference is orders over $500 USD. Eligibility, any currency equivalent, the available service and the final shipping charge are determined by the cart and Shopify checkout for your destination and order total before payment.
Will I have to pay import duties?
Duties and applicable import taxes are prepaid by Signora for deliveries to the US, UK and Canada. You should not be asked to pay them again on delivery.
What certificate comes with my jewelry?
Every finished Signora jewelry product includes a Signora Jewelry Certificate. Any independent stone report included with the selected configuration is shown in the product details and order record.
Can I return a made-to-order listed design?
Standard listed products are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery when unworn, unused and in their original condition, with the original packaging and included documents. Normal listed choices such as metal, stone carat, chain or bracelet length, an extended ring size, or complimentary engraving do not by themselves make an item Final Sale. A sale or discount also does not imply Final Sale; only an item explicitly classified as Final Sale follows the non-returnable exclusion.
How are fully custom orders handled?
A fully custom commission is different from a listed made-to-order design. After its specifications or CAD are approved, a normal change-of-mind return does not apply. Manufacturing defects are still handled, and Signora will review any exceptional circumstances with the customer.
