Method 1 — Use an existing ring

Find a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
Place it flat and measure the inner diameter (inside edge to inside edge) in mm.
Enter that measurement in the Measure a ring tab.

Method 2 — Wrap and measure

Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger.
Mark where it overlaps — measure that length in mm (your circumference).
Divide by 3.1416 (π) to get your diameter, then use the Measure a ring tab.

Tip: Middle finger sizes typically run half a size larger than the ring finger. If between sizes, go up. Measure in the evening — fingers are slightly larger then.

Is the carat weight per earring or for the pair?

The carat weight (cttw, total carat weight) is for the pair, not per earring — 1.00 cttw studs means two 0.50-carat diamonds, one in each ear. A 0.50-carat round lab-grown diamond measures roughly 5 mm across. Check each Signora Jewels listing for the per-stone carat and millimeter size before you choose.

What size diamond studs should I buy?

For everyday wear, 0.50–1.00 total carat weight is the sweet spot, with 1.00 cttw — two 0.50-carat stones — the most popular choice; 1.50–2.00 cttw suits occasion wear. Because Signora Jewels studs use IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds, most buyers can afford a size larger than mined diamonds on the same budget.

Are screw backs or push backs more secure?

Screw backs and locking backs are more secure than push (friction) backs, which are easiest to use but can loosen over time. For valuable diamond studs, a threaded back is the safer choice. Check the specifications on each Signora Jewels earring listing for the back type, and make sure backs feel snug every few weeks of wear.

Can I sleep or shower in my diamond earrings?

It’s best not to. Water won’t harm a lab-grown diamond, but soap and shampoo leave a film that dulls the sparkle, and sleeping in studs gradually loosens backs and settings. Remove earrings before showering and bed, and clean them with warm soapy water and a soft brush every few weeks — our care guide shows how.

Are diamond earrings okay for sensitive ears?

Nickel in cheap fashion alloys is the usual cause of ear irritation. Signora Jewels earrings are made to order in your choice of 9K–18K gold, platinum, or sterling silver — fine-jewelry metals, not base-metal alloys. If your ears are especially sensitive, platinum and 18K gold contain the least alloy metal and are the gentlest choices.
