Each metal color is shown in the photos. Choose your metal in the options on this page.
Signora Jewels builds this engagement ring around a 12.94 × 5.71 mm elongated hexagon step cut held by six prongs. The stone runs north to south, with pointed ends and long step facets that read in broad flashes rather than pinfire sparkle. An open gallery lifts the center clear of the finger, so light can move through the body of the stone.
On each side, marquise and round diamonds form small floral clusters that soften the geometry of the center without surrounding it in a halo. The lower shank stays slim at about 1.80 mm wide and 1.40 mm thick, so the ring feels lighter on the hand than the 2.00 ct center suggests.
Design highlights
The center does most of the talking here. Step-cut facets throw wider flashes than a round brilliant, and the long hexagon outline stays crisp against the softer marquise-and-round clusters at the shoulders. For cut, grading and stone basics, see the diamond stone guide.
An elongated hexagon step cut has long mirror-like facets, so you see larger bands of light and contrast across the face of the stone. That cleaner facet pattern works especially well in a 12.94 mm long center, where the shape itself is part of the look.
This ring is made in silver, 10K, 14K and 18K yellow, white or rose gold, plus platinum. White metals sharpen the edges of the step cut and keep the side clusters visually bright, while yellow or rose gold puts more warmth around the center. Compare them in the metal guide. Clean the open gallery and the small spaces around the cluster accents with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush.
How does an elongated hexagon step cut look in person?
Step cuts show broader flashes of light instead of the pinfire sparkle you get from a round brilliant. On a 12.94 × 5.71 mm stone, that gives the center a cleaner, longer face with a strong outline.
Are the marquise side diamonds exposed?
The marquise accents sit lower than the center and are built into the Cluster shoulders. The six-prong center rises above them, so the side stones read as supporting detail rather than taking over the top view.
Will this ring sit flush with a straight wedding band?
Most straight bands will leave a small gap. The center basket and shoulder clusters occupy the space next to the ring, so a curved or contoured band usually sits closer.
Which metal suits this design best?
White gold and platinum make the step-cut center and the round accents read brighter and more continuous. Yellow or rose gold adds contrast around the diamonds and makes the floral cluster shoulders stand out more clearly.
How does this ring feel on the hand?
The lower shank is approximately 1.80 mm wide and 1.40 mm thick. That keeps the ring relatively light, even with a 2.00 ct center and shoulder clusters on both sides.
