An Old European cut lab grown diamond vintage engagement ring from Signora Jewels.
An approximately 2.50 ct Old European cut round diamond measuring 8.40 mm is secured in a six-prong lotus basket above a vintage engraved milgrain shank with 20 round accent diamonds totaling approximately 0.08 ct.
Made to order in 11 metals: Silver, 9K/14K/18K Gold (Yellow, White and Rose) and Platinum.
Each metal color is shown in the photos. Choose your preferred center diamond weight and metal from the options on this page.
The Old European cut brings broad flashes of light and a softer faceting pattern than a modern round brilliant. At Signora Jewels, the six-prong lotus basket lifts the center above a finely engraved shank finished with delicate milgrain edges, giving the ring an unmistakable Art Deco character without overwhelming the diamond.
The approximately 2.00 mm comfort-fit shank feels balanced despite the larger center stone. Vintage engraving continues along the shoulders while twenty round accent diamonds add a subtle line of sparkle that complements rather than competes with the Old European cut.

Design highlights
The lotus basket keeps the center elevated while the engraved shoulders and milgrain edges create texture from every viewing angle. Together they give the ring the character of an heirloom while preserving a clean solitaire profile from above.

Measurements are approximate. Your selected center diamond weight determines the final proportions of the finished ring.
Old European cut diamonds are known for larger facets, a smaller table and broad flashes of light that recall antique diamond cutting styles. Every center diamond is F color, VS1 clarity and , selected to complement the vintage proportions of this design.
Available in Silver, 9K, 14K and 18K Yellow, White and Rose Gold, plus Platinum. Clean beneath the lotus basket and along the engraved milgrain details using warm water, mild soap and a soft brush to maintain both brilliance and fine surface detail.
What makes an Old European cut different from a modern round brilliant?
An Old European cut has larger facets and broader flashes of light instead of the fine sparkle associated with modern round brilliant diamonds. Its proportions give the ring an authentic vintage appearance.
Why does this ring use a lotus basket?
The six-prong lotus basket supports the center diamond while creating a graceful floral profile beneath it. It also allows light to reach the pavilion through the open gallery.
Will the engraved band wear comfortably every day?
Yes. The engraving and milgrain are on the outside of the band, while the comfort-fit interior remains smooth against the finger.
Can this ring be paired with a wedding band?
Yes. The cathedral-style basket allows many straight wedding bands to sit close, while vintage-inspired bands create a matching heirloom look.
