Method 1 — Use an existing ring

Find a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
Place it flat and measure the inner diameter (inside edge to inside edge) in mm.
Enter that measurement in the Measure a ring tab.

Method 2 — Wrap and measure

Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger.
Mark where it overlaps — measure that length in mm (your circumference).
Divide by 3.1416 (π) to get your diameter, then use the Measure a ring tab.

Tip: Middle finger sizes typically run half a size larger than the ring finger. If between sizes, go up. Measure in the evening — fingers are slightly larger then.

The four-prong head is the defining detail here. With less metal crossing the face than a six-prong setting, more of the round diamond's edge stays visible from above. The polished shank then falls away from the center without adding another competing line of stones.

Four prongs hold the 6.83 mm center at evenly spaced points around its edge. The open spaces between the prongs leave much of the diamond visible while the prongs provide the mechanical hold.

Does a four-prong setting expose more of the diamond?
Yes. Four contact points leave larger open sections around the round diamond than a six-prong head. That keeps more of the 6.83 mm outline visible from above.

Can this ring be stacked with a wedding band?
The shoulders are plain and narrow beside the center setting. A straight band can sit close to the shank, although a taller companion band can leave a small gap beside the raised center head.
