Shop best sellersLength changes what a necklace is. At 16 inches a chain rings the base of the neck; 18 inches — the length most pendants are designed around — rests just below the collarbone; 20 and 22 inches fall onto the chest and carry larger pendants over crew necks and knitwear. When a product page offers a length choice, treat it as an invitation to check that page's chain guidance against the necklines you actually wear.
Layered chains need breathing room: keep about two inches between lengths — a 16-inch against an 18-inch, not two 18s — so pendants never compete for the same spot. One pendant plus one plain chain reads deliberate; two pendants at one length reads accidental. On clasps, a lobster clasp closes more positively than a small spring ring and is easier to work one-handed, which matters for a piece that goes on every morning.
Match the pendant to the neckline: a small solitaire suits high and crew necklines, while open collars and V-necks carry a longer chain and a larger drop. Store every necklace clasped and hanging, or laid flat in its own pouch — a fastened chain cannot knot around itself. Wipe after wear and keep clear of perfume; our care guide covers the deeper cleans in between.
For most pendants, 18 inches — the length the majority of our pendant designs are built around. Choose 16 inches for a close, collarbone-height look and 20 to 22 inches for longer drops. Product pages carry chain guidance for each specific piece, so check there before you decide.
Keep roughly two inches of difference between each chain, fasten each piece separately, and cap the stack at two or three. Mixing one pendant with plain chains gives each layer its own job and keeps the look intentional.
Put your necklace on after perfume and hairspray rather than before, take it off for swimming and sleep, and give it a soft-cloth wipe at the end of the day. Fine chains are strong in tension but dislike knots, so store them fastened.
Your necklace is made after you order it, so allow around 14 days in total. Orders to the US, UK, and Canada are delivered with duties and taxes prepaid, and orders over $500 travel free by insured express shipping.
Standard designs carry a 30-day return and exchange window, with return shipping covered by Signora for the US, UK, and Canada. A bespoke commission made to your brief is final and cannot be returned.

Clear information about materials, finishing, fit and everyday care — before you choose your piece.
Every Signora piece is made in solid precious metal — never plated or filled. Available options can include 925 sterling silver, 9K, 14K or 18K yellow, white or rose gold, and Pt950 platinum. Stone and certification details are listed on each product page.
Each order is finished by hand in our family workshop in Surat. White gold is palladium-based, nickel-free and rhodium-finished; yellow and rose gold are polished to their natural warmth; platinum develops a soft patina with wear.
Wipe your piece after wear and store it separately in its pouch or box. Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, exercise or contact with lotions and cleaning products. For deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water, mild soap and a very soft brush; ask a jeweler to check stone settings periodically.
Ring sizes and bracelet, necklace or chain lengths vary by design, so confirm the options on the product page before checkout. Because every piece is made to order, contact Client Care before ordering if you need a custom size or are unsure about fit.
