Himmat is the third generation of a Surat diamond family — the kind of family where the sound of the polishing wheel is simply the sound of home. The Mangukiyas run a diamond-polishing unit in Surat, the city that cuts and polishes most of the world’s diamonds, and the family craft has one rule: the stone leaves the wheel only when it is right.
He joined the trade at nineteen — not at a sales counter, but at the workshop end of fine jewelry. For years the family workshop manufactured for Indian jewelers: rings, pendants and bracelets that left these benches carrying other houses’ names. The craft was theirs; the story never was.
In 2021, that changed. Himmat founded Signora Jewels to put the family’s work directly in your hands — made to order in solid gold, platinum and sterling silver, set with IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds and GRA-certified moissanite, and finished by hand in the same Surat workshop. No middle names between the maker and the wearer, ever again. The longer version lives on Our Story.
